Enthusiasm is a tight-knit 10 man raiding guild (Normal Difficulty),
passionate about WoW and about raiding. While we encourage our members
to participate in every aspect of the game, it's the common goal of
experiencing end-game content that binds us all together. And in the
process, we want to have FUN.
You can find our Raid Rules
HERE.
2. Hardcoreness, hardcoricity, hardcorination
We wipe. We are excellent floor inspectors, and we don't mind. We will
always, always kill the bosses in the end, no matter how long it may
take. Our main focus is to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere, where no
one shall feel obliged to sign up for a raid or be forced to do dailies
to aquire the most awesome of shinies (although raiding in all greens is
not gonna happen) just so that we can gogogogo and kill that Heroic
Raidboss! We make our own hardmodes, thankyouverymuch.
We
treat our fellow members with the same respect and kindness one would
expect in return. So any attitude, actions or behaviour that represents
this way of "Hardcore" gameplay, or anything that is done to diminish
the feeling of fun that we are working so hard to preserve... It will
not be looked upon kindly. And you might ask yourself if this is the guild for you.
3. Core values
a) Respect
- For fellow guildies, and for all those with whom we interact. We
don't need to get involved with public namecalling, or to trashtalk the
guy that just called you an arse. If the PuG you just met is 4 other
people that possibly spawned straight out of hell, leave quietly and
don't lower yourself to their level.
We will not tolerate any actions done to hurt our beloved guild's reputation!
b) Communication
- Is good. Is harder than you might think. So if you feel that
something's wrong, or you want to speak out about something, please do.
The Guild Leader and the officers will always have a shoulder to lean on
and a ear that will listen.
c) Reliability
- This means showing us that you have read the Raid Rules when signing
for a raidspot. It means helping your fellow members whenever they are
in need of aid, knowing that they can always count on you.
d) Friendship
- We strongly believe that a friendly atmosphere in which you consider
your fellow raiders friends in at least the broadest sense of the word
is an atmosphere in which both success and fun are much more likely to
arise. We don't expect you to be "Best Friends Forever" with every
single member, but we do expect you to act civilized.
If you
have any issues with someone that can't be solved between the two of
you, grab the Guild Leader or one of the officers for aid.
e) Teamwork - the ultimate goal. Don`t ask what the guild can do for you, but what you can do for the guild.
4. Activity
Most of us have day jobs and/or responsibilities. Many of us also
consider WoW as a favourite hobby. So while we don't expect you to be
logged on every day, logging in once a week just in time to raid and
then promptly going offline after the raid is finished isn't a behaviour
we support.
Also, we would miss you!
4. a)
Being away from the game for more than 1 Year will get you kicked,
unless you have announced a prolonged absence from the game. Recruits
that have not been promoted yet will be removed after 4 months of
absence.
In the Heat of the Battle
In the heat of the battle, emotions may boil a little higher than
usual. Within certain boundaries, that's okay. The only person who is
always, without fail, perfectly calm, is the person who doesn't care,
and we want you to care.
You won't be /gkicked for raising
your voice or letting off a snarky remark in the heat of the moment.
Just remember that whatever you are intending to say should better be a
contribution, rather than a detriment.
Regardless of heat or battles, severe personal insults are neither permitted nor tolerated.
"The heat of the moment" is not carte blanche to insult and demean, nor
to run through the list of every offensive word or phrase you know.
Age
Considering that our current member base is in their 20s - 50s, we
don`t feel that most 15 year olds will have the required maturity to be a
good match. Therefore, after going back and forth a couple of times
with the discussion, we`ve set the age limit to 18+, where as 20+ is
prefered.
